This month of February 2010, we decided to make a small loan through KIVA.org to the following group.Mrs. Sam Ann Yem is the village bank president selected by the members, who all use the loan for different purposes. She is a grocer in the local village and her husband, Mr. Vey Phan, is a farmer who owns a small piece of land where he cultivates rice to support his family. In order to improve their living conditions, Mrs. Sam Ann Yem decided to ask for a loan to start a new business buying more rice to resell because it can generate a high income. Mrs. Sam Ann Yem is the mother of four children, two of whom work in a massage shop, while the other two are enrolled in the local public school.
